Tiny Seed, Tiny Spark
Our world is filled with beauty, with nature that’s truly astounding
With creatures, plants and humans too – great diversity abounding
Riots of colour, shape, size and form caress our wond’ring eyes
Let’s celebrate what’s unique as well as that which we recognise
Sometimes we look and all we see is the broken dreams and hearts
Where the politics of fear and hate divide us from the start
Too many people shouting so no-one’s list’ning to each other
We’ve forgotten that we’re here to be family, sister, brother
But there’s a tiny seed growing despite the crazy odds
There’s a tiny spark of hope lighting up the dark
Let’s work to make this broken world heal a little ev’ry day
And treat each other kindly as we travel on our way
Let’s strive to build up friendships, to gather in embrace
All those who feel they have no worth and long to have a place
Beneath the ranting, kindred hearts are whispering, “Give us a voice.
There’s so much good that we could do if we only had the choice.”
Across the globe, beat loving hearts that want to heal the world
In Me and Thee that desire is given voice and strength, place and form
Yes, there’s a tiny seed growing despite the crazy odds
There’s a tiny spark of hope lighting up the dark
